ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR (COMPETITIVE SALARY) Job at Swan Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation
Nursing Facility is searching for a caring and compassionate Activity Director. It is the responsibility of the Activity Director to supervise the planning, organizing and execution of activity programs within the interests and abilities of the resident population, and to participate in the assessment and care planning of the residents.
The Activity Director is also responsible for supervising/managing the other employees in the activity department including the volunteers.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with the elderly as well as in a team oriented environment.
Education/Experience:
1. Therapeutic recreation specialist or is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body or is a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant or who currently holds an Activity Coordinator Certification in the state of Maine.
2. Knowledge of resident assessments, MDSs and care planning required.
3. Minimum of two years experience in geriatrics and/or rehabilitation required.
