Activities Assistant Job at TestOrchard
The
Activity Assistantprovides an ongoing activity program in the Hovlid Community Care Center and with all Swing/Skilled Level of Care patients – designed to meet the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident/patient. This includes, but is not limited to, the implementation and maintenance of the activities plan and program; the establishment and maintenance of the record system for activities for residents/patients at Orchard Hospital.
Location: TestOrchard · SNF
Schedule: Part Time, Weekends, Every Saturday and Sunday-4 hours each day
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Must be able to read and write English
- Minimum of two years experience in a health care setting with a demonstrated ability to work with the elderly, chronically ill, disabled individuals and volunteers.
- 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting, or
- Qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
