Requisition Summary
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Perform A/P functions in accordance with policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Responsible for development, and implementation of system initiatives to reduce cycle time and improve department effectiveness.
- Supervise assigned accounting personnel to ensure accurate and timely matching, proper support, coding, posting and payment of vendor invoices and dealer direct-ship orders.
- Coordinates and resolves differences or errors with vendors and dealers, including reconciliation of vendor statements. Resolve vendor questions in a timely manner.
- Develop and train staff.
- Recommends and implements enhancements that improve productivity, internal control and cost reduction.
- Prepare queries and reports from the A/P system.
- Participate in the month-end closing process including journal entries, financial statement reviews and Corporate reporting requirements.
- Prepare and/or review account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness in a timely manner.
- Understand the relationship of operational and financial systems and develops reports in SAP, Excel, Access and SQL.
- Perform SOX testing as assigned.
- Support internal control reviews and external audit requests.
- Perform other duties and accounting functions as assigned.
Qualifications
- BS / BA in Accounting or Finance
- Master's Degree or CPA strongly preferred, but not required
- 5 - 7 years of related experience, including supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a “big picture” focus
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
- Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and self-motivated
- Understanding of US GAAP
- SAP experience preferred
- Requires strong PC skills with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
- Must be able to travel periodically within the US and internationally
