Position Summary
Prepares financial statements and reports and has responsibility for the maintenance of accurate accounting records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and assist in the development of adequate accounting and control for various accounting functions such as cash from banks, investments, advances, receivables, deposits, fixed assets and miscellaneous assets and liabilities.
- Prepare financial statements and reports and assist in the development of new reports required by the company, its external auditors, the Federal Reserve, the SEC, or other regulatory authorities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts.
- Maintain and assist in the development of automated accounting systems and procedures.
- Assist in the development or modification of accounting systems and procedures in response to regulatory or business changes or to achieve automation efficiencies.
- Assist in the guidance of Accounting Analysts.
- Adhere to the BSA Policy and all other Bank Policies.
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
- College Degree in Accounting.
- CPA preparation preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
