Position: Cold/Wet Food Packer

Location: Honolulu, HI

Experience: Farming and/or food manufacturing experience preferred, but not required

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Type: Full-time; Temp-to-Hire, ASAP – 6 months w/ possible extension

Schedule: 5 days/week, 6AM - 3PM *flexibility required, may have to work nights, weekends and overtime as needed*

Pay: $16/hour PLUS continuous mentorship and assistance with progressive career placements

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking Cold/Wet Food Packers to join our growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Process raw material to fulfill the day's orders using hand tools and produce processing machinery.
• Pack processed items into various containers, packages and boxes.
• Adhere to all food safety guidelines set forth by the company.
• Ensure that production area has all necessary equipment and make sure equipment is in good working order.
• Additional duties as necessary and assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Position entails talking with co-workers, guests, and outside vendors, Community organizations, including performing training sessions as necessary
• Must possess basic computational ability
• Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail functions
• Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to details
• Must be well-organized and able to work with minimum supervision

All offers are contingent upon the successful completion of background and reference checks & completion of the health screens (Audiogram, Hep A Vaccination, TB 2-step).
