PRIMARY DUTIES
- Supervise client activities and conduct of the residents
- Implementation of daily activities and supervision of residents
- Reports significant changes in behavior to the appropriate staff
- Maintain necessary records and shift documentation
- Assist in the transportation of residents to appointments or recreational trips
- Support, encourage, mentor residents in our care
- Help resolve disputes
- Search resident's property for dangerous items
- In some cases drug test the residents
- Teaching residents to develop skills so that they can live independently in the future
- Teach hygiene, meal preparation, taking medication, cleaning the home, going to work and other quality of life skills
- Keep communication between the resident and law enforcement agencies, families, or community organizations open to update these parties of the status of the resident
- Complete daily status sheets and log notes
Monitoring the behavior of residents is very important, especially in environments when the residents have had a troubled past.
Youth care worker shall be responsible for implementing daily activities and for supervision of the Teens.
Part of giving youth a second chance is exposing them to new experiences. We strive to give our residents the fulfilling lives they deserve. Our residents have family issues, abuse, neglect, abandonment, involvement in the juvenile justice system.

Youth care worker shall have a high school diploma or general education development certificate (GED)
Child abuse and criminal history checks shall be completed in accordance with 23 Pa.C.S 6301-6385 (relating to the Child Protective Services Law)

Salary: $23,000.00 to $28,000.00 /year
