The Yard Jockey operates trucks on site in accordance with DOT Regulations, Company policy, and in accordance with established standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Drive roll-offs and other commercial vehicles on site to facilitate loading and staging of trucks.

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the truck.

Operates the truck in accordance with all local, state and federal DOT regulations, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Ensures loading is performed to proper weight.

Maintains any related records required, i.e. work orders, special request work, Vehicle Condition Reports, Pre-Trip inspections, etc.

Maintains trucks and surrounding work areas in a clean condition to ensure the vehicle meets company expectations to include cab.

Reports any maintenance issues on the vehicle condition report and reports it immediately to the station or operations manager.

May be required to drive other vehicles for which properly trained and qualified.

Other duties as assigned from time to time by company management.

COMPENSATION: DOE

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A valid PA Driver’s License required. (CDL A optional)

Requires a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle to prevent damage to truck, equipment, or surrounding items.

Ability to sit in the cab of the truck for long periods. Able to bend, stoop, and climb into and out of the vehicle and body unassisted repeatedly through a typical work shift.

Able to perform manual labor jobs between jockeying.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.
