Overview:Title: Yard Driver / Production Technician III / CDL Driver (get off the road and come work in our facility!)
Pay: $25-27/hr must have a valid CDL or willing to get a CDL
Shift: DAY
Location: Shakopee, MN
This position will assist in the production process from order to completion. You will be responsible for the blending of chemical products and for ensuring orders are filled in a timely manner. The Production Tech will comply with all Kurita safety requirements, policies, and procedures, and maintain the production area in operational condition. The Production Tech should make recommendations for ordering raw materials to include chemicals and containers, suggest finished material inventory level based on product flow, offer process improvements, and file incident reports to the Shift lead as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Accountable for producing and or repackaging chemicals.
- Use chemical on a First In, First Out (FIFO) basis.
- Assist in annual and cycle inventory counts.
- Keep all calibration logs, water checklist, and preventative maintenance logs current.
- Maintain all production equipment. Work with Maintenance to schedule needed repairs.
- Back up other positions as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work first shift hours and at least 40 hours a week.
- Pass a drug and background check post offer.
- Mechanical abilities and aptitude combined with the following physical requirements: lift 55lbs, push 750lbs on drum cart, use manual pallet jack with 4,000lb pallet, wear respirator and other PPE.
- Effective communication, multitasking, high level of attention to detail, and thrive in a team environment.
- Willing to work overtime when needed.
- Forklift experience.
- Have a valid CDL for driving short distance within the town a few times a week.
