- Please note that the Shuttle Department is on an alternative workweek of 4/10s (meaning you work 4 10-hour shifts)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Winter Transportation Ambassadors will operate under the direction of the Winter Transportation Manager and in accordance with the Club Vision, Mission, Goals, and service standards. They will operate the shuttle department to the highest standards of safety, service, and hospitality. They are the first and last point of contact with our membership, and their guests in creating an unforgettable ski experience. Shuttle responsibilities include to a scheduled service to and from the Northstar Village while operating an on demand, door to door, in community shuttle. They will work closely with the Winter Transportation Manager to ensure the total member ski experience is in alignment and extraordinary.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safe operation of the bus fleet including in winter conditions.
- Safe transportation of members and their guests both on and off property.
- Have knowledge and understanding of the Northstar ski experience with an ability to describe daily interactions in terms of snow conditions, lift ticket requirements, ski lift status, road conditions, or how to obtain this information.
- Display a strong, positive communication skills and a cooperative working environment with all Ambassadors and club members.
- Display a superior service attitude and presentation among the staff with an understanding that a positive “can do” attitude and anticipating the needs of the members and their guests is a guiding philosophy.
- Track, maintain, and preserve all daily activity counts and report to the Transportation Manager.
- Other duties assigned by the Winter Transportation Manger as required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to interact and develop positive relationships within and outside the organization.
- Proficient with shuttle app and calls being dispatched.
- Maintain high ethical and moral standards, including personal presentation of staff that are reflected in management and interactions with the members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and multitask.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSES:
- CDL Licensed with passenger endorsement.
- Must be over 21 with a minimum of three years as a licensed driver.
- Must provide a copy of clean DMV record upon offer of employment.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen with a negative result (this includes marijuana).
- Pre-employment background screen as you will transport unaccompanied minors.
- Maintain a CDL license by passing the biennial CDL medical exam.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as telephone, radio, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.
- Comfortable driving in winter conditions.
- Able to get to work with consideration to winter driving conditions.
- Comfortable driving at night.
- Comfortable and able to operate snow removal equipment, shovels required snow blower preferred.
- Able to operate a pressure washer.
- Flexible schedule.
