Job Summary:

As a working supervisor, oversees day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center which includes the indoor and outdoor pools (in season), Spa & Salon appointments, guest inquiries, and other guest services related functions as required. Maintains the established standards of service, hospitality, cleanliness and safety in the Wellness Center and recreational areas to maximize guest satisfaction and ensures all staff follow standards that have been set by the Wellness Director.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Wellness Director. Qualified candidates must be available to work 8:30 am - 5:00 pm on weekdays, weekends and holidays, and outside normal business hours based on business needs.

Essential Job Duties:

• Applies comprehensive knowledge of all Wellness Center operations, products, services and programs daily

• Directs, supervises, evaluates, and schedules Wellness Center staff including Spa & Fitness Representatives, Kids Program Activity Counselors, and Spa & Salon therapists.

• Enforces and assists in development of Wellness Center policies and procedures

• Assists the Wellness Director with staff hiring, coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and terminations with coordination from Human Resources

• Maintains an appropriate level of office, cleaning, facility, and retail supplies.

• Ensures staff proficiency in property knowledge, selling techniques and computer skills related to all POS functions

• Assumes and coordinates all Spa & Salon group appointments, schedules, and service inquiries

• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of all Wellness Center areas.

• Enforces the usage rules of the Wellness Center, Fitness Center, and Indoor Pool to maximum guest satisfaction and quality of operations.

• Aids in development, implementation and facilitation of programs as directed by the Wellness Director.

• Communicates and solicits feedback from Wellness Center guests and develops plans for improving services

• Provides maximum customer services to all guests in a professional manner

• Supervises Wellness Center operations in the absence of the Wellness Director.

Other Duties:

• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Wellness Director.

• May attend Rumbling Bald and department-related continuing education programs to enhance job related skills.

Education & Experience:

• 1-2 years in a lead or management position.

• High school diploma or equivalent required, two years of college preferred.

• CPR, Lifesaving and/or First Aid certification required.

• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, drive and motivation.

• Experience in retail operations using a POS system and basic inventory procedures

While performing the essential duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to:

• Talk, hear and speak with others using clear and professional language.

• Endure long periods of driving, sitting, standing or walking in a hot, humid environment

• Complete property tours in many cases walking on uneven, steep, rough, slippery terrain.

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance on an occasional basis.

• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, climbing and stooping; climb stairs and elevations and use hands and fingers to handle or feel.

• Perform stressful and physical activity.

• Drive vehicle for performance of duties.
