WELDING FABRICATOR Job at Professional Art Studio
Professional Art Studio Hudson, NY
Art studio in Upper Hudson Valley region seeking a welding fabricator with a minimum of 2 years professional welding experience. If you have structural welding experience please see our additional job listing for a ‘Structural Metal Fabricator’ This role requires close communication with other fabricators on the team.
Requirements:
- 2 years professional welding/fabricating minimum
- Proficient in MIG and TIG
- Proficient in plasma and torch cutting
- Valid driver's license
- Adheres to all Company Safety Policies
- Experience in a metal shop environment
- Desire to learn new skills and techniques
- Works well with others
Aside from welding/fabrication, duties include:
- Support in rigging large, and heavy materials
- Safely and effectively operate various welding/fabrication machinery
- Participate in the maintenance, cleaning and organization of the metal shop
- Effectively coordinate with other team members on time sensitive projects
Not Required but added plus
- FCAW
- Experience with industrial rigging techniques
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to travel
- Ability to read and work from technical and engineering drawings
- Flexibility with schedule/work hours is appreciated
Hourly position
Temporary project based, but potential for a larger commitment and salary opportunities
General studio hours are: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm
