Position Summary:
Production welder will be responsible for using Weld Procedures, Drawings, and fixtures to weld knife gate valve components to meet various customer pressure vessel requirements. Essential Responsibilities:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate depending on the shop level of work.
Welders -
Production welder will be responsible for using Weld Procedures, Drawings, and fixtures to weld knife gate valve components to meet various customer pressure vessel requirements.
Maintain safe working environment at all times.
Keep equipment and tools clean and operable to meet requirements.
Obtain qualification to different weld procedures as required. Most are
Deburr and weld prep as needed for production welding.
Use provided written weld procedure, drawings, and tooling to produce pressure weld.
Conduct visual inspections of completed welds.
Assist with valve assembly, handling, and testing as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
