POSITION LOCATION:

MCC offers the option of alternative work arrangements (hybrid/flex schedules). This position is required to work at our Fort Morgan campus at least 2 days a week, with the option of hybrid/flex scheduling as appropriate for positional and institutional needs the remaining 3 days. This position does require occasional travel.

Full-Time (Exempt Professional/Technical Appointment, 260 days), 1.0FTE

PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB: This position is responsible for performing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Morgan Community College website, web, and social media presence. This incumbent in this position will be knowledgeable of MCC's programs and be able to promote MCC and its programs in a positive, constructive, creative, and technologically correct manner. This position will maintain the MCC website and web-presence and ensure they are current with vital branding, marketing, and communication tools. The Webmaster will add additional technologies and features to the website to attract and engage users while making the site easy to use.

The Webmaster works across the College in service to faculty/staff and related programs (i.e., MCC Foundation, CACE, etc.) to ensure that the website accurately reflects and supports the activities as they relate to administration, marketing, services, academic programs, and institutional development. In addition, the Webmaster may be required, as necessary, to assist with graphic design for other marketing materials to ensure a cohesive web presence is maintained. The Webmaster will work with the Director and Marketing Manager to develop and execute direct marketing campaigns using digital methods. Utilizes critical thinking, professional judgment, creativity, and excellent writing and communication skills throughout all activities and functions to provide an excellent customer service experience to prospective students, students, employees, and communities.

The Webmaster exemplifies the college's guiding principles of integrity, respect, open and honest communication, and collaboration, and serves as a vital member of the college's communication, marketing, and recruitment team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or higher in an appropriate web-related technology field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) years of current experience in web design and maintenance.
  • Portfolio and/or demonstration of design skills and web technology including HTML, XHTML, PHP, JavaScript, and other languages while maintaining accessibility compliance defined by WCAG 2.1 AA requirements (or greater, as standards change).
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, HTML 5, CSS, physical and logical database design, content management systems - specifically WordPress, Google Analytics, and social media analytics.
  • Knowledge and use of SEO to determine and execute strategy that will help improve keyword performance skills.
  • Experience in digital ad buying including social media ads, geofencing, retargeting, and Google search ads.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, and capable of clear and accurate communication through the design and implementation of messaging by a variety of media types.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a drive to exceed the expectations of others.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Works well under short deadlines and under pressure when the need and circumstances arise.
  • Ability to maintain knowledge on latest technology, identify trends and insights and user behavior in relation to the website, digital advertising, and social media.
  • Detail oriented and can handle multiple tasks and prioritize duties, with the ability to solve problems and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independent and within the Communications, Marketing and Recruitment team effectively.
  • Able to travel as necessary to carry out job duties.
  • Occasional long and irregular hours necessitated by special projects, compliance with deadlines, technology issues, and committee service, including the ability to participate in evening and weekend commitments as necessary.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a web-related technology field from a regionally accredited college/university.
  • Work experience in higher education.
  • Work experience in information technology or marketing.

Anticipated Start Date: November 2022

Salary and Benefits:

$49,100 to $56,465, based on education, skills and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental insurance, LTD & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.
