The SBS IT Project Management Office is seeking a talented Web Producer with product management abilities to develop and maintain content on NYC Business. NYC Business (www.nyc.gov/business) is the City's primary Portal for business customers. The Portal aims to make it easier for businesses to start, operate, and grow in New York City. It allows business owners to learn about regulations, apply for and renew licenses and permits, pay violations, view transactions with various City agencies in one place, and access a range of programs and services.
The Web Producer is a key member of the content management team and the web portal site production. They are responsible for:

The Web Producer is a key member of the content management team and the web portal site production. They are responsible for:
Site Operations
- Overseeing all site operations
- Monitoring the site to ensure all product features are working
- Troubleshooting technical issues
Content Management
- Writing, editing, and publishing all content on NYC Business
- Identifying new content requirements and maintaining a calendar to track content updates
- Developing and maintaining relationships with agency partners
- Researching and maintaining content on State and Federal business regulations
- Coordinating with technology partners to develop, maintain, and support the content management system
- Ensuring content complies with accessibility laws
Rules Maintenance
- Authoring, editing, and maintaining business rules for the Step by Step and Incentives Estimator products in NYC Business
Customer Support
- Responding to customer feedback and inquiries via telephone and email
- Developing relationships with agencies partners
Web Metrics
- Preparing monthly reports on website usage
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on user feedback and the overall health of content
- Designing, conducting, and analyzing user surveys
- Responding to ad-hoc requests for reports
Product Management and Development
- Manage the product roadmap with SBS Division of Business SMEs (Subject Matter Expertise)
- Working closely with the development team to document user stories and user acceptance criteria
- Performing user acceptance testing
- Managing technology projects aimed at improving the content management system and overall portal site
- Lead product demo’s for NYC Business Portal site
Recruitment and Training
- Assisting with the recruitment, and training of new employees and interns
- Providing training to content editors on the content management system and editorial standards
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and one year of satisfactory full-time computer software experience in computer systems development and analysis, applications programming, database administration, maintenance and support, systems programming, data communications, mainframe development, mobile development, web development and design; or
2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of satisfactory full-time computer software experience as described in "1" above; or
3. Education and or/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above. College education may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience in "2" above on the basis that 60 semester credits from an accredited college is equated to one year of experience. In addition, 24 semester credits from an accredited college or graduate school in computer science or a related field, or a certificate of at least 625 hours in computer programming from an accredited technical school (post high school), may be substituted for one year of experience. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and at least one year of satisfactory full-time experience as described in "1" above.

Preferred Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain complex information in plain language
- Strong research and analysis skills
- Confident analyzing large datasets
- Familiarity with the systems development lifecycle, especially requirements and testing
- Experience working in an Agile Development environment
- Knowledge of writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- Knowledge of prioritizing features for product development
- Knowledge of managing IT Product Roadmaps and prioritizing user stories
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Expert knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and Project
- Experience working with content management systems such as TeamSite
- Familiarity with HTML
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Photoshop
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Self-starter with sound judgment
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of City, State, and Federal business regulations is a plus
- Entrepreneurial or small business experience is a plus
- Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act or Section 508 is a plus
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
