JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs the duties of the Munitions Warehouse Specialist and works under general supervision of the ASP-LLL Warehouse Specialist Lead under the purview of the resident Munitions Manager. As directed, the Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting, and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage, and preparing it for shipment.

Position involves working primarily in an outdoor environment which includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions and will require the operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in performing various warehousing functions and obtain operators qualification. Knowledge of the Army ammunition supply system is preferred. Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50+ lbs., pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching. Additional duties will require performing housekeeping of the work areas and the use of personal protective equipment.

May be cross utilized in other job areas to meet contract requirements, as necessary. May be assigned to support contract support requirements in a job-related area such as environmental, safety, and security.

Must be a high school graduate and be able to communicate effectively with people. Must be able to achieve/obtain a favorable government secret clearance within one year and possess a current Hawaii State driver’s license, approved DA 7281, compliance with the Lautenberg Amendment, and required background investigation. Must be able to obtain local HAZMAT Familiarization Training, AMMO-31, AMMO-45, AMMO-63, AMMO-64, AMMO-67, AMMO-68, AMMO-75, AMMO-76, AMMO-108 and AMMO-112, Forklift Operator Certification, and other required functional training. The person selected for this position must possess excellent organizational/multitasking skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office software. Must be able to work overtime and may be cross utilized in other job areas when required.

Preferred: 5 years army ammunition experience, High school diploma and five years of applicable experience within the warehousing area. Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).

Must be a U.S. citizen. Paid relocation assistance is not available. Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance or clearly state a willingness to relocate his or herself.
