Warehouse Associates/Mail Sorters Job at SVS Group
SVS Group is in need for Mail Sorters in West Sacramento, Ca. This is a full-time position and a great opportunity for anyone new to the work force or looking to get back into work after some time off.
***MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON WEEKENDS AND OVER TIME ***
Shift Available:
1st: Tuesday to Friday from 5:00 am until 1:00 pm; Saturday from 7:00 am until closing
3rd: M-Thu 9pm-5am Friday 9pm to be off at 7am; Saturday morning, OT is mandatory
Job Responsibilities:
- Walk up and down the mail sorter machine and clear any stuck envelopes
- Sort mail by zip code and light machine operation
- Perform general facility maintenance
- Lift trays of mail weighing up to 50 pounds
- Receive, sort, identify and queue Parcel for processing
- Interact with software, scales, and dimensional equipment, and process Parcels accurately and efficiently.
- Sort, Load, Containerize Parcels with emphasis on safe practices.
- Remove visibly defective mail and assure that mail has proper posting applied
- Will work in an area shared with fork lifts and electric pallet jack
- Alertness and safety is key Dispatch separates and stack trays of mail based on the label on the tray, onto pallets for transportation to Post Office or another PSI site.
- Shrink wraps palettes; sleeves mail trays, loads trucks.

Requirements:
- Able to be on your feet for 8-10 hours every shift
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend and swoop for the entire shift
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Possess a strong sense of urgency and fast pace work ethics
- Reliable with a reliable source of transportation.
- Thrives in a fast paced work environment.
- English to be able to understand and follow safety and other operational directions communicated in English, irrespective of their native language.
