The VP Global Engineering, Managed Services will report to the President of Managed Services and oversees the quality delivery of managed services to our clients. The role will lead and grow CDI’s Managed Services global engineering teams (onshore and offshore) as well as responsibility for client satisfaction across our service offerings. In addition, this role is integral in existing service management as well as the development of new service offerings (Product Development).
The successful candidate will have worked in a large managed services organization delivering multi-tenant services to hundreds of clients simultaneously.
Responsibilities for this role include:
Lead the Managed Services global engineering team. Recruit and retain diverse talent of engineers from a variety of backgrounds to support our growth and strategic goals- Ensure the highest quality service delivery. Be intimate with our clients. Instill confidence
- Handle customer satisfaction issues and client escalations
- Build and enhance systems and processes that enable our engineers to consistently deliver multiple services and clients
- Champion key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics to achieve organizational outcomes and goals
- Play integral role in Product Development of existing and new services
- Work with other MS leaders & departments to improve overall profitability and scalability
- Work with sales as needed to win new business
Job Qualifications:
Built and lead large enterprise Managed Services – 24x7 NOC/SOC Monitoring and Remediation, IaaS, DRaaS, Public Cloud, Managed Security- Passion for people management. You love empowering and developing team members. You have a strong track record of creating team cohesion to enable the team to achieve great things around the globe (follow the sum).
- A strong track record of collaborating effectively with other senior leaders across a company
- Mastery of ITIL with proficiency in strong incident, change and problem management
- Knowledge and experience managing teams of engineers in commercial and enterprise technologies such as CISCO, VMware, Citrix, Dell and Netapp
- Experience building/leading patch management process (Servers and Network devices/IOS) across many clients
- Partner with Product Development to define new offerings, implement continuous improvement, deployment and testing as part of the product delivery lifecycle
- Excellent writing and documentation skills
- Experience with Platform ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy
- Strong knowledge of Monitoring tools, RMM experience such as Logic Monitor or Beyond Trust
- Knowledge in large complete IT outsourcing is a plus
