Virtual Intake Coordinator/Clinician to Assess Patients for Summit Health NJ’s Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Outpatient Program PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LPC
Intake Coordinator - Behavioral Health

At Summit Health Behavioral Health we employ highly trained mental health clinicians to treat a wide variety of patient conditions including depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, illness anxiety, ADHD and more. We offer on-going clinical supervision and education to help our clinicians continually increase their knowledge and skill. We also provide both virtual and in-person treatment to meet the needs of patients.
Summit Health is seeking Intake Coordinators in Behavioral Health to provide virtual screenings, assessments, intakes and navigation to adults and pediatrics throughout NY, NJ, and CT. The successful candidates will become part of a team consisting of referring physicians, behavioral health clinicians and psychiatrists focused on quickly providing help to patients and support to medical staff working to care for their patients’ needs.
Responsibilities include: Phone screening of behavioral health patients to determine appropriateness for services, assessing treatment needs, assigning to treatment modalities within the department, referring patients to alternative community resources, educating patients on the services and short-term model of the behavioral health dept, completing accurate and timely patient documentation, and navigating patients to higher levels of care as needed.
Candidates must have knowledge of evidence-based treatments for common mental disorders, familiarity with brief, structured treatments, and a excellent assessment skills. Experience working with patients who have co-occurring mental health and physical health problems preferred. Knowledge of community resources required.
Education Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LPC) and NJ license required with 3 years minimum experience preferred.
