Veterinary Extern - Emergency Job at Uintah Pet Emergency
Uintah Pet Emergency is a quickly growing small animal Emergency/Critical Care clinic. We focus on providing the best care for our patients through continued teaching, learning and CE opportunities. We are a very close-knit group with a family feel/environment and enjoy laughing and having fun when time allows. We are focusing on continued growth and hope to go to 24/7 within the next year or so.
An externship experience at our hospital gives students real-life clinical experience in an emergency and critical care setting, and the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills while working alongside experienced clinicians, criticalists (site dependent), and/or current interns and residents. Hands-on skills that may be practiced or observed include TPR’s, examinations, anesthesia, surgical procedures, catheterization, ultrasound, and other diagnostic procedures as available.
Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. Externships at Uintah Pet Emergency are designed for clinical year students only.
Veterinary students who are in the
