VETERAN OUTREACH MANAGER:

Valley Hope has an exciting opportunity to join our organization in the newly created role of Veteran Outreach Manager.

This individual will focus on building relationships with VA and VSO’s to increase VA referrals/admissions to Valley Hope programs.

Per CMS Interim Rule, all Valley Hope employees must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive an approved medical/religious exemption.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Two (2) years of community outreach and/or sales experience.
• Veteran of United States military or extensive experience as a first responder
• Valid and unrestricted Driver’s license.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Three (3) years’ experience in sales, marketing, or public relations.
• Work experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment setting.

COMPENSATION:

Salary ranges from $65,000 - $80,000 based on experience and education

JOB SUMMARY

• Work collaboratively with supervisor and team members to meet the organization’s strategic goals as it relates to veteran engagement.
• Assist in the development and execution of strategies and plans aimed at increasing veteran awareness of, and referrals to Valley Hope’s comprehensive addiction inpatient and outpatient facilities.
• Initiate contact, develop and maintain relationships with both veteran’s service organizations and the veterans they serve. Ensure these individuals are aware of their care options as prescribed by the Veteran’s Affair (VA).
• Develop and maintain partnerships with state and local government entities and other organizations to strengthen relationships that will support the mission of the Veteran’s Affair Medical Center (VAMC) as well their Community Care Network (CCN).
• Facilitate patient education around VAMC services and the VA’s Community Care Network care access.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior that is consistent with the organization’s Mission statement and objectives.
• Create and sustain positive impressions and relationships with referral professionals, optimizing Valley Hope messages and methods.
• Consult with facility leadership and corporate marketing staff on advertising, public relations, and business development.
• Work collaboratively with team and other departments to meet all the organization’s strategic goals.
• Utilizing the marketing database to ensure current reporting and execution of data reports.
• Develops and delivers insightful strategies and presentations to the key stakeholders where appropriate.
• Organize promotional activities to enhance engagement with Veteran Service Organizations.
• Submit reports on market trends, referral sources, contacts, etc. to all stakeholders as requested.
• Collaborate with supervisor on planning and administering the budget of the organization.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Able to work in the field and travel.
• Able to be on call and work extended hours as necessary.
• Direct contact with patients, families, and referral sources via the telephone.
