The Technology Vendor Relationship Manager is an experienced, integral member of the Technology and Enrollment Vendor team and is responsible for the development and results of five or six contracted Benefits Administration Vendors which represent roughly 25% of the Cigna Supplemental Health Solutions (SHS) total premium. The role is focused on expanding relationships to account for enrollment results, data accuracy, and stewardship to extract maximum value for Cigna from the vendor contracts. The Technology Vendor Relationship Manager is responsible for SHS products and results but also maintains an enterprise focus to drive enterprise-wide results.
The role works closely with third party Benefit Administration Vendors to ensure the growth of the relationships with a focus on increasing enrollment/participation rates in Cigna products as well as driving efficiencies in the data sharing and file transfers. The Technology Vendor Relationship Manager coordinates multiple stakeholders within Cigna to ensure the most productive relationships possible, including marketing, Technology consulting, product, operations, and others.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Proven track record of developing solid relationships with third party vendors required.
Project Management experience preferred.
Experience with reviewing and renegotiating third party vendor agreements preferred.
Ability to identify strategic needs, with little direction, resource key projects, and lead management with sound business direction based on market findings.

Specific Accountabilities:
Develop and manage aligned third party Benefits Technology Vendor relationships, serving as single point of contact for the organization.
Delivery and accountability of Cigna SHS Point of Purchase materials with a focus on increasing enrollment and participation rates
Intimate knowledge of the books of business of assigned contracted vendors, their performance for Cigna, and ongoing stewardship
Coordination of contract renegotiations and management of SHS stakeholders’ desired contract inclusions.
Identification and facilitation of enrollment and eligibility process efficiencies for aligned relationships.
Work collaboratively with cross matrix partners to gather market intelligence about products, pricing, positioning, value propositions, channel conflicts/opportunities to inform development / implementation of winning strategies and tactics and turning it into a value proposition story.
Identification and facilitation of issue resolution for aligned relationships.
