ROLE: Van Driver
DESCRIPTION:
The Van Driver is fundamental to daily operations; tasked with the procurement, transportation and safety of equipment, owned and rented, along with the upkeep and servicing of the company van fleet. The applicant is required to be extremely knowledgable of NYC streets and alternate routes, clean driving record, and calm demeanor under tight deadlines.
The Van Driver must exude confidence, resolve and adapt when confronted and challenged, be empowered to proactively grow culture and standard of excellence of the company brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily cleaning and servicing of company van.
- 2pm-10pm or later.
- Loads van using dollies, hand-trucks and hampers.
- Distribute weight evenly, forming compact load and utilizing all available space.
- Proper use of tie downs, ratchet straps and padding to secure loads.
- Organize and drive van to complete daily route, making per-destination deadlines and confirming all products are picked up or delivered.
- Daily handling of industry standard lighting, grip, electric and production equipment; knowledge of how to transport safely.
- Schedule deliveries of client items.
- Ad Hoc management pickups.
CAPABILITIES:
Qualifications, Skills and Characteristics – Required
- Knowledge of industry standard Production, Grip, Electric, Strobe lighting, Continuous lighting, Digital and Production equipment.
- Exceptional level of organization.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills; advanced proficiency in [but not limited to] Word, Excel, Outlook, Acrobat.
- Ability to maintain composure and positive attitude in a demanding and high paced environment.
- Self-starter, discipline and a high-level of efficiency and organization.
- Ability to work day shift or night shift, weekday and weekends.
- Ability to lift over 50lbs.
Experience – Required
- 2+ Years Experience in Delivery Driving
- 4+ Years Experience in Studio related environment
Reports to: EQ + Operations Manager
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
