Join our Transportation Team as one of our Transportation Drivers for the upcoming Interlochen Arts Camp season. The dates of employment are 6/12/23-8/13/23 and the hourly rate for this position begin at $14 per hour, potentially more based on experience and licensing. One meal is included with every shift. Housing is available for $15/night in a shared living space, if you live more than 40 miles from campus. If you live on campus, all meals are provided.
Major Responsibilities:
- Drivers fulfill campus transportation needs, 24/7
- Drivers are responsible for providing safe transportation to students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors on campus as well as around the local area
- Transporting students to and from appointments in the local area
- Drivers may also be required to assist Campus Safety Officers and/or any other duties as needed for the Department of Campus Safety and Transportation
- Transportation drivers are often the first point of contact with Interlochen for students, parents, visitors, and guests

Experience and Skills:
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
- Maintain positive public relations skills at all times
- Drivers must possess the ability to accept responsibility and work without supervision
- Criminal and motor vehicle background checks are required
- Valid driver's license required (Commercial Driver's License preferred/Chauffeur's License is required)
- Priority given to drivers with over 5 years of CDL driving experience
- Qualified applicants with current First Aid, CPR and AED certification will be given first consideration
- Driving record and background checks are required, as well as random drug and alcohol testing
