Job Description

The Warranty Agent will be responsible for the assessment and processing of warranty claims submitted regarded to warranty repair services performed on client-manufactured equipment.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for team’s contribution to the achievement of performance KPIs.

  • Take calls and chats from dealers with questions regarding policy or claims submission.

  • Training, mentoring, and managing subordinate Warranty Agents.

  • Review warranty claim documentation provided by an Automotive Dealership for completeness and accuracy.

  • Decision payment eligibility against documented policy guidelines.

  • Provide Q/A support to the Automotive Dealerships relevant to submitted warranty claims.

  • Collaborate with the Warranty Center Manager to implement corrective/preventive actions, when needed.

  • Provide coverage for agents’ positions during unplanned absences.

  • Provide ad-hoc, flexible support as assigned by the Warranty Contact Center Manager.

Location

This is a virtual/remote role based in Michigan.

Hours & Shifts

The role requires the availability to work 5 out of 7 days a week, with 2 consecutive days off, including weekends and holidays. Given the nature of our business being 24/7 and 365 days per year, candidates will need to bring a degree of flexibility, and remain open to working different hours, and shift rotations. Please note, depending on the team supported, location, business needs, hours, shifts, and rotation frequency is subject to change.

Training

Individuals are provided paid training.


Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

  • Mechanical certification (typically 3-5 years at school and workshop experience).

  • 1-2 years of working experience within an automotive dealership as a service writer or warranty administrator.

  • 1-2 years working experience within the automotive service industry, such as in an automotive service center, body shop, or similar environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in automotive claims handling (repair order coding, claims assessment, pre-authorization, or warranty audits).

  • Knowledge of automotive diagnosis (mechanical and electronic) and the after-sales process.

  • Knowledge of technical documentation (e.g., technical manuals, service bulletins, recall campaigns).

  • Professional presence, communication, and written language skills for interaction with North American Automotive Dealers.

  • PC literacy (e.g., MS Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), facilitation, and interpersonal skills

  • Passion for ensuring a world class user support experience

  • Quicker learner and adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail, results-oriented, self-directed, and inquisitive

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing multiple projects, assignments and/or responsibilities

Compensation for roles at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
