You're applying to this position because you are a self-starter who enjoys the responsibility of assigning and directing work for service technicians, as well as training and coaching them as needed. You have no problem coordinating incoming service and preventative maintenance tasks ensuring that the overall workflow of the shop is maintained. What does this job look like daily?
- Handle mechanic supervision, customer contact, scheduling maintenance, and driver relations
- Prepare service reports
- Prioritize repair work coming in for technicians and ensure that repairs and PMs are being completed in a timely fashion
- Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
- Provide on-the-job training to technicians and helpers as needed.
- Ensure technicians are meeting safety standards.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members.
Knowledge and Skills to be successful:
- Able to lift, push/pull 75+ pounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational ability
- Ability to train and coach service technicians and set an example of excellent customer and interpersonal relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of trailer maintenance and best practices
