Do you like to have weekends off? Jim Hawk Truck Trailers, Inc. of Kansas City, MO has immediate openings for experienced, energetic, self-motivated, and hard-working semi-trailer repair mechanics. No weekends are required! This is a great opportunity for the right person, with at least four years of mechanical experience.

Semi-trailer repair mechanics should have knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, fabrication, suspension, alignment, and basic knowledge of air systems. Basic knowledge and experience in welding steel and aluminum is needed. Industrial knowledge of air brakes, axles and suspensions is preferred. The semi-trailer repair mechanic position requires heavy lifting, attention to detail, and good communication skills for interaction with customers.

Major job duties include:

• Servicing heavy duty trailers
• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and other defects
• Performing emergency repairs in the field
• Minor arc welding
