Traffic Control Technician Job at All Temps Personnel Services
Overview:
All Temps is proud to partner with The Texas Department of Transportation to provide traffic control services to connect motorists and travelers across Corpus Christi between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas. Responsibilities:
All Temps Personnel Services is currently hiring Traffic Controller Technicians to direct traffic on and off the Port Aransas Ferry.
Traffic Controller Technician Responsibilities:
- Prefer previous experience as a Traffic Controller Technician or related position.
- Be able to withstand physical requirements of position such as: standing for 8-10 hours daily and endure in outside elements- Heat, Cold, Rain, and Lifting 50+ pounds when needed.
- Promote and practice safety procedures.
- Maintaining a safe and clean job site, routinely ensure associates necessary tools/PPE.
- Communicating with other Traffic Controller Technician using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane.
- The Traffic Controller Technician position will require you to be able to work with other Traffic Controller Technicians professionally and safely while working around traffic, generally loud noise levels. This position is a long-term permanent position.
Qualifications:
- Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Be able to receive and give clear instructions, procedures, and training to and from associates.
- Knowledge in safety procedures and directing traffic.
- The ability to work in harsh weather conditions.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional observation skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Be able to withstand physical requirements of position such as: standing for 8-12 hours daily and endure in outside elements- Heat, Cold, Rain, and Lifting 50+ pounds when needed.
- Must be available to work evening shifts, Monday – Sunday from 1:15PM – 1:00AM (if needed)
- Must be available to work weekend hours + holidays
