Trade Service Representative (hybrid) Job at Securian Financial Group

Job Summary:
Are you a person who has trade industry knowledge or experience? We're looking for someone who can manage taking low volume calls, respond to email correspondence related to trading, research and possible trade correction processing, manage our compliance reporting requirement and other FINRA related reports.
Overview:
40% Support Pershing’s trading platform by assisting clients and advisors with the following:
- Place customer and advisor equity orders in client investment accounts.
- Fixed Income support and consultation is referred to AAM (not handled by Trade Desk)
- Answer questions and provide training support on NetX 360 trading tools
- Answer questions related to fees and commissions
- Processing trade corrections
- Breakpoint reporting/processing
30% Answer incoming calls pertaining to asset movement (client and advisor) and general client inquiries. These calls can involve continued training for our field partners and their assistants as they learn to use our systems, processes and products.
15% Reporting, Items for Attention ownership and investment account loan approval:
- Manage Trade Related Items for Attention, including but not limited to Margin calls
- Run, analysis, approve various trading reports required by various entities, including but not limited to: SFS Compliance, FINRA, and/or Pershing.
- Business owner and approver for secured loan requests
15% Project work and other assignments to support broker/dealer operations
Ongoing Manage and build upon professional, productive relationships with our field force. This can be done by answering questions efficiently and accurately; patiently assisting in training on procedures and the daily use of Net Exchange 360, and by resolving complex problems for the advisors.
Ongoing Remain current with industry knowledge related to equity markets, trading, and Pershing trading systems.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deliver a high level of service to our General Agents, Advisors, clients and internal associates.
- Ability to maintain the high level of service, customer focus and flexibility under the pressure of high volumes.
- Ability to work well independently and make decisions as appropriate.
- Analytical skills for complex problem resolution.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience and knowledge of financial markets.
- FINRA Series 7 and 24 required. Ability to obtain 4, 53 and 66 within one year. In addition to FINRA exams, fingerprinting and background checks are conducted.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the field of broker/dealer operations.
- FINRA Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 66.
- Knowledge of qualified plans.
Physical job requirements:
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
- Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for approximately 6-8 hours per day
- Ability to utilize telephone for approximately 6-8 hours per day
