Job Title: Dealership Title Clerk / Deal Administrator
Job Description:
Immerse yourself in the dynamic world of automotive sales at Brown Motors, a leading dealership in Petoskey, Michigan. We're looking for a meticulous and energetic Dealership Title Clerk/Deal Administrator to keep our operations running smoothly. This is a multifaceted role that extends beyond the typical clerk position. You'll navigate the intricacies of vehicle titling, manage precise financial transactions, and maintain orderly and efficient records.
If you're a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and a knack for accounting, you'll fit right into our vibrant team. Even if you don't have direct experience in the role, a strong accounting background or degree will serve as a robust foundation.
Summary of Essential Duties:
- Oversee the registration process for all new and used vehicles.
- Meticulously prepare and submit tax and title documents.
- Ensure all funds have been properly collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
- Maintain a comprehensive system for verifying out-of-state titles and track all outstanding title work.
- Facilitate the smooth flow of sales by preparing stock cards for new and used vehicles and posting vehicle sales and purchases.
- Become the go-to person for all vehicle warranties and extended service contracts, processing and registering them, and maintaining a detailed log.
- Stay ahead of the curve by keeping abreast of title regulations, attending relevant seminars, and training others on title regulations and procedures.
- Manage dealership records efficiently, ensuring easy and quick retrieval.
- Handle financial transactions with precision, using a variety of documents to verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions.
- Balance accounts, maintain schedules.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Title Clerk or Deal Administrator in an automotive dealership, or a degree in accounting/strong accounting background.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
