POSITION: TIRE AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Work Schedule: Estimated 30-50 hrs/wk, up to 8 hrs/day Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm PAY- $17-$19hr

Job Status: Full-time, part time also available

Position Summary: Automotive Technician position with potential to move forward to management; primary responsibilities include passenger tire service, basic vehicle maintenance and repair, and vehicle inspections. Management would do in addition to above- oversee technicians, communicate with customers, keep appointments flowing, and assist in tire sales when needed.

Essential Functions: For tires- Remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs - Reset TPMS when needed - Inspect tread depth, air pressure, and carcass for defects, for every tire that comes through, and recommend corrective action

For vehicles: -Inspect automovite vehicles using inspection forms and report potential repairs to supervisor o Perform basic maintenance and repair, including oil changes, chassis lubrication, filter and fluid inspection and replacement, and other light mechanical items and repairs

Equipment: -Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks o Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to: rim clamp machine, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks, and parts washer

Position Qualifications: Accuracy – Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly in a fast pace environmant

Self-Motivated – Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one’s ability using his or her own drive or initiative.

Team Player – Must treat team members with respect and earn their trust by completing tasks in a timely, accurate, and positive manner

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.

Skills & Abilities Education: High school graduate or general education degree (GED) preferred

Experience: Prior experience preferred- Automotive repair: 1 year (Preferred)

Certifications / -Valid driver’s license preferred

Other: Pre-employment background check
