Mettler Toledo needs to add to our telesales team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Telesales Specialist, you will primarily sell preventive maintenance service contracts to prospective customers and dealers. This job will rely on your expertise to pre-qualify, engage, and close sales with prospects through the phone, email, social selling and other related sales channels and technologies.

• Meeting and exceeding your personal sales target

• Responding to inbound leads within your assigned geographical territory, employing professional selling skills to qualify, engage, follow-up and cross-sell

• Occasionally executing an outbound sales campaigns through either phone or electronic media (emails, chat, webinar)

• Progressing prospects to the next stage of the sales cycle

• Demonstrating Mettler Toledo solutions based on customer requirements

• Detecting up-selling potential, qualifying sales leads and obtaining basic information

• Accurately quoting and promoting products, services, and solutions within your assigned specialty area

• Tracking, recording, and updating data ensuring database and reporting integrity

• Identifying trends and making recommendations on alternative sales offers or approaches

• A bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related life science

• Sales, customer service and/marketing experience for at least 2 to 3 years

• A daring spirit and a preference for work in a fast-paced sales environment

• A confirmed ability and technical acumen to learn our products and sell our laboratory products

• The ability to communicate product knowledge, differentiate from the competition, and solve customer problems

• Excellent people skills to create rapport with prospects quickly
