Technical Product Consultant
As a Technical Product Consultant, you will be involved with ARI’s award-winning eCatalog authoring software and viewer solutions. Work with customers post-sales to evaluate and plan converting their data to work with ARI PartSmart Connect solutions. You will also provide hands-on in-depth training for ARI’s Data Manager software, and implementation training for implementing ARI’s PartSmart viewers on customer’s websites.
Here is more of what you’ll get to do:
- Work with customers to understand their product data. Research and document a plan for converting their data to work with ARI’s systems. Conversions are implemented by our Data Publications Development team based on the documented plan.
- Provide multi-day on-site or remote training to end customers for ARI’s data publishing toolset
- Provide remote training and technical assistance for ARI’s data viewer tools.
- Work with data publishing engineers to provide pre-sales work estimates for data conversion work based on sample datasets.
- Coordinate work with sales, project managers and other publishing team members
- Maintain job schedules and avoid scheduling conflicts by working with project team to set and meet customer expectations.
- Contribute to processes and results evaluation to drive continuous improvement
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- This job may require up to 10% travel to deliver on-site training.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- 2+ years of software training experience.
- 2+ years of software development, preferably in data transformation or management roles
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to interact with technical and non-technical teams
- Knowledge of and experience manipulating data.
- Understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP)
- Understanding of SQL in one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, .NET)
- Ability to listen and gather information from customers to develop solutions.
- Self-Motivated and able to work independently
- High capacity to learn new skills and technologies and adapt to changing conditions.
- Ability to work inter-departmentally to accomplish objectives.
- Ability to work with and support others in a team environment
