About This Position:

This position will coordinate and monitor the daily workflow of our Health Information department including record retention/destruction and release of information processes.

Our full-time exempt (salaried) Team Leader will help to support our mission and team so we can work in the most efficient and effective way. You will work Monday - Friday, during core day-time hours to assist your team, but have the opportunity for flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Provide oversight and supervision of the Health Information team including performance management, workflow, and productivity
• Ensure that the Release of Information processes adhere to company policy, federal and state regulatory requirements
• Drives change and process improvement to revise workflows to improve efficiency and overall effectiveness
• Promote Adult & Child Health's mission with emphasis on quality service by treating clients, co-workers, and team members with courtesy and respect
• Maintains current knowledge of Federal and State laws affecting HIPAA privacy and release of information
• Serve as point of contact for external medical record audit requests
• Assists agency Privacy Officer in oversight of privacy and security compliance monitoring activities
• Provide oversight and accountability to meet the approved budget
• Direct Human Resource planning and management for your team by managing staff resources to meet program needs, ensuring human resources policies, procedures and practices are followed, and implementing performance management process for all staff

• Associates Degree in Health Information Management or health related field or equivalent experience
• RHIT certification preferred but not required
• One (1) year of supervisory/management experience
• Minimum of three (3) years related medical records experience
• Experience working within an EMR; experience with Behavioral Health preferred
• MS Office Proficiency required (Excel, Office 365/Outlook, Word) and Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and customer service skills
