Tasting Room Associate Job at Cougar Crest Estate Winery
Cougar Crest Estate Winery, a boutique family-owned winery, is seeking a tasting room sales associate for part-time work. Hours available are Saturday-Tuesday with the possibility of more hours for special events. Estimated weekly hours are 10-19 hours. We are looking for a person whose lifestyle fits a permanent weekend job selling amazing wines with flexibility for special events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Excellent customer service, communication, and enthusiastic salesmanship skills to effectively suggest and sell wine and wine club memberships to guests with a variety of personalities to create a fun, welcoming experience so guests look forward to coming back.
· Educate oneself about our vineyards, winery, and its wines, in order to educate our guests on the uniqueness of our winery and vineyards. Answer and manage incoming phone calls and take phone orders, accurately handles purchase transactions, which include operating cash register, recording sample usage, and opening and closing duties. Assist customers with carrying out purchases to their vehicles when necessary. Provide general tourist information and dinner reservations if needed.
· Maintain the appearance of the tasting room, including daily cleaning list, drying & polishing stemware, and keeping outdoor areas attractive. Assist with receiving and restocking of wine and merchandise. (Must be able to bend, stoop, and carry up to 50 lbs.)
Must be 21 years of age or older and have their MAST training along with a food handlers license within 30 days of hire.
Compensation includes hourly rates, bonuses, employee discounts, and tips.
