REEDS Jewelers is excited to welcome a Junior Systems Administrator to join our team. At REEDS, we rely on our IT Team to support our business and sales staff across 85 plus locations in over 13 states.

The Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardware. They assist in building new and maintaining existing application servers. In addition, they are responsible for the installation and configuration of point-of-sale equipment and all related peripherals used within the corporate and store network.

The ideal candidate projects confidence in the way they handle themselves on the phone, or in person in all support situations. And must possess the ability to work with a wide variety of customers on their individual levels and provide effective follow-up.

Responsibilities:

• Exemplify the REEDS’ Mission and Core Business Values.
• Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of POS peripheral equipment such as UPS printers, payment terminals, receipt printers, network printers, tablets and network devices.
• Provide first level support for the installation, troubleshooting and configuration of corporate and store equipment such as computers, laptops, printers, copiers, tablets, VOIP Phones and relevant network devices.
• Install and integrate new server hardware, applications and patches.
• Support and administer third-party applications.
• Assist in making sure all store calls for daily support are handled timely and effectively. Maintain support tickets in the Zoho tracking system.
• Provide “on-call support” to stores on weekends and other scheduled times during the week. This requires carrying a cell phone and a laptop during assigned periods of being “on-call”.
• Provide outstanding customer support in a calm, professional manner. Work well within a retail framework with regards to hours and calls at different times of day and weekends. Schedule is not always structured, must be flexible and willing to work with issues that crop up at all times of the day, especially at end of shifts.
• Conduct business affairs in a legal and ethical manner, building a socially conscious environment.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Jr. System Administration role
• Experience with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft applications
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware and related protocols
• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and related tools
• Experience with network storage (SAN & NAS) and enterprise back-up
• Working knowledge of virtual server environments (Nutanix)
• Working knowledge of Apple OS, Android, Linux, and Chromebook
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrate ability to handle multiples tasks and deadlines
• Must be able to work both in a team environment and independently at times outside of normal business hours
