Position Name: System Administrator (Threat Detection Development)
Location: Fort Meade, MD / Columbia, MD
Clearance: Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ CI Polygraph

DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a System Administrator to support a program that is focused on threat detection, prevention, and deterrence. The System Administrator will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and will manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. In this role, the System Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Preferred Capabilities and Experience:
- Experience providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Experience with Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Experience providing support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Experience Optimizing system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning
- 5 years of experience with UNIX Operating Systems.
- 5 years of experience with Windows Operating Systems.
Required Education and Experience:
- Five years of experience on programs within the Department of Defense (DOD) / Intelligence Community (IC) as a Database Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline. Five years of additional experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree.
- 5 years of experience with UNIX Operating Systems.
- 5 years of experience with Windows Operating Systems.
- Security+ Certification
Security Clearance Requirements: Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ CI polygraph.
