System VP, Epic Healthcare Application Job at CommonSpirit Health

Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership for Healthcare Operating System for the continuum of care - Acute, Ambulatory and Post-Acute for CommonSpirit Health. Healthcare Operating System includes roadmap and strategic direction for clinical capabilities such as the core electronic health records, third party apps and bolt ons, homegrown application bolt-ons,
revenue cycle solution that includes Patient facing, Clinician facing and Business Operations facing capabilities in close partnership with national and local clinical/medical informatics teams, revenue cycle operations team, physician enterprise executive stakeholders and acute ancillary service lines leaders such as labs, oncology, pharmacy, surgery etc.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Build lasting relationships with national/division medical and clinical informatics teams to build a prioritized, multi-year roadmap for Healthcare Operating System. Work with finance partners to ensure that the business case is built and funding is secured to deliver the solution as planned for the
continuum of care.
2. Manage close to 100M operating budget and $50+ M Capital budget for various products and services rendered by the Healthcare Operating System team in close partnership with Engineering leaders within Applications and Software Engineering organization
3. Negotiate with vendors in conjunction with vendor management and contract negotiation to get the best terms for CommonSpirit Health.
4. Inspire team to increase delivery throughput for ongoing software enhancements and new development efforts
5. Proactively invest in growing talent internally in areas where we want to expand based on the roadmap.
6. Prior people management experience including conducting performance management, coordinating training and hiring team members.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
- 15+ years of Healthcare industry experience
- 50-100M+ budget management experience for at least 5 years
- Experience managing a team of 150+
- 10+ years experience delivering technology solutions in acute, post-acute and ambulatory clinical and revenue cycle applications required
- Experience developing and deploying patient facing and clinical facing software solutions in a complex Healthcare environment required
- Leading large scale Epic ecosystems
