Job Description


Assist department leads in Information Technology (IT) Management, troubleshoot help desk tickets, and maintain the inner workings of IT Infrastructure.


Essential Duties and Job Functions

  • Provide IT support for the various departments and staff members.
  • Report regularly to the supervisor on the status of staff needs and projects.
  • Satisfactorily resolve remote/onsite staff tickets using company tools, training, and experience.
  • Assist with managing daily/hourly backup logs, daily/hourly event logs, and daily/hourly antivirus logs.
  • Maintain Asset Management Database including budgeting for system and network peripheral replacements.
  • Maintain Software Inventory Database.
  • Communicate with employees via email and telephone, and follow up with employees.
  • Working with staff members during software/hardware implementations and/or upgrades.
  • Working with Department Leads to customize solutions for their tech needs.
  • Communicating technical issues both verbally and electronically.
  • Working in a Team Environment with other staff members.
  • Provide training to new and current staff when new technologies are implemented.
  • Communicate with Department Leads regarding tickets.
  • Be available for emergencies 24/7.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five (5) years in help desk support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of small business networking, network protocols, Windows operating systems (servers/workstations), hardware/software troubleshooting, wireless, Windows security, email setup/configuration for small businesses, virtualization, endpoint configuration, wide and small area networking, active directory, group policy implementation, firewalls, and network security devices.
  • Current Washington state driver’s license.
  • Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and stoop throughout the work shift.
  • Able to effectively communicate by listening, speaking, and providing directions to clients.
  • Able to push, pull, lift, or carry objects or equipment up to forty (40) pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Networking certification, Networking Plus, Microsoft Certified.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
