System Administrator Job at Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System
Under the general direction of the Technology Manager, this position performs a variety of technical tasks in the area of computer systems and networks. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users. This position has responsibility for the analysis of hardware and software in a distributed networking environment utilizing accepted network management and monitoring software and systems. This position deals with moderate to advanced levels of technical systems and assists the hospital in achieving cost effective objectives through state-of-the-art technologies. Prepare program documentation and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study highly desirable. Documented education in the areas of network analysis and support from an accredited organization.
- Licensure: Valid California Driver’s License required. Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) preferred with specializations in Windows Server, SQL Server, and Server Virtualization.
- Experience: Five (5) years’ experience as a technician in the computer networking field, within the last two (2) years, including maintaining and administering data and voice networks. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft operating systems, systems security management practices and HP hardware.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $82,000.00 - $122,000.00 per year
