Job Summary:

The Sustainability Manager will play an integral part of POWDR’s Play Forever strategy with focus on it’s two main pilliars: community and environment. This position will work closely with the Vice President of Sustainability, POWDR’s Green Team, and other Sustainability resources at the resorts/BU’s to drive the Play Forever initiatives by managing the day to day operations of Play Forever’s various programs. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for the resorts/BU’s in Play Forever.

This role will aid in establishing baseline data, metrics, and goals for various programs, using audit data and past performance. This person will be an inspirational resource for the development and optimization of Play Forever’s strategy as it further develops. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Sustainability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the implementation and management of POWDR’s Play Forever sustainability programs across POWDR’s platform
  • Engage with resorts, BU’s, and cross-functional stakeholders to align program objectives, roadmaps, milestones, and manage key metrics
  • Develop and effectively communicate technical content into practical guides (e.g. operating plans, procedures, training programs, orientation materials, etc.)
  • Contribute to internal and external reporting and communications on Play Forever’s progess and impact
  • Develop critical relationships with internal and external partners to advance POWDR’s sustainability goals and objectives
  • Research applicable grants to further development and improve sustainability intiatives and aid in the grantwriting efforts
  • Maintain grants and funding databases and search for similar resources that are applicable to POWDR’s Play Forever strategy
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required
  • 5+ years’ experiencing working in Sustainability, Environmental, or related field
  • Excellent research, communications and writing skills
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understands and embraces the principals of environmental sustainability
  • Non-profit or environmental/sustainability experience helpful

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 20%

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
