We are currently accepting resumes for Survey Crew Chiefs to work in support of large-scale linear energy infrastructure projects throughout the United States. As our Survey Crew Chief, you are responsible for directing the field activities of the survey crew. This supervisory position requires your application of standard field techniques in carrying out a sequence of related measurement tasks. Exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of alternatives.

About Us:

SGC provides high-level professional land survey services for large-scale projects throughout the United States. We manage geospatial data for projects that require quality accurate reporting by developing, implementing and utilizing new and innovative systems.

Requirements:

On a typical day, you will use prescribed methods to execute specific, field-related assignments as requested by a Project Manager or Project Surveyor. You will apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes. You will screen assignments for unusual or difficult problems and select techniques and procedures to be applied to non-routine work. You will receive supervision on new aspects of assignments.

May be assisted by Survey Technicians II or I.

May supervise or coordinate the work of Survey Technician II/I or Cad Technician, and others who assist in specific assignments.

Occasionally may support business development through client contact and/or proposal preparation.

Associates degree in engineering or surveying from an ABET-accredited curriculum with five years of related experience or 10 years of related experience.
