SUMMARY:

Supply Chain Analyst, eCommerce Package & Delivery

This position plays a pivotal role assist operators to manage and coordinate the shipping activities of a rapidly growing eCommerce business. The focus of the role will be to optimize the shipment and delivery of packages to consumers from the ShipCenters and omnichannel store fulfillment sites. This position will own the daily tactical execution of shipments from SCs to the consumer and the resulting costs and service levels.

The analyst will partner with Manager, Supply Chain Solutions to manage a variety of 3rd party partners comprised of national and regional parcel delivery carriers to ensure they provide services that meet SLAs at the agreed costs. Execution from each shipping location including trucking, trailers, pickup/dropoff, terminal management and final mile delivery to the customer.

Balancing the best mix of carriers to optimize cost, speed and service will be key performance measures in this role. And, this position will work with SCs to drive improvements in package sizes, weights, box selection, shipping materials, palletization and load utilization. Speed of delivery will be an important goal, while ensuring low damage and accurate tracking. Clear, accurate and customer-friendly tracking and user interfaces are part of the total service proposition for the customer to ensure a great ordering experience.

Additionally this role will leverage information & feedback from the customer service team to understand trends impacting the customer experience that we need to address in fulfillment locations (examples are damaged, missing, or wrong items). The analyst will compile this information & partner with operators to appropriately identify & correct issues causing a negative customer experience.

As market conditions and pricing change, the analyst will assist the Manager, Supply Chain Solutions in assessment & selection of the best mix of carrier partners to provide services at the best cost to Five Below. Supporting RFPs and rebidding contracts are part of this role.

The analyst will be main point of contact to work with parcel audit firms to make sure billing, pricing, package quantities and service SLAs are meeting contractual standards. Resolve billing discrepancies with carriers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carrier selection, RFP, negotiations and onboarding
• Set logic for best service/cost rate shop
• Daily Carrier Split and Volume management
• Daily execution with Carriers
• Daily scheduling, pickups, dropoff, linehauls
• Daily Yard Management of equipment
• Daily issue resolution; customer, HFT, packages
• Daily/Weekly reporting of performance
• Daily Coordination with HFT; undeliverables, returns
• Management of returns and damages
• SOPs and Training for box, bag selection
• Damage reduction tactics
• Weight and Cube reduction tactics
• Weekly Auditing, Invoicing, Billings, SLAs
• Tactics to improve delivery speed and service
• Build Peak Season Capacity/Volume plans by carrier

Qualifications :

• 5+ years within a growing distribution or manufacturing environment
• 2+ years in direct-to-consumer and eCommerce operations and business model
• Experience in logistics or transportation, with a focus on small package and parcel.
• Top-notch, Hands-On abilities to perform data analytics
• Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility to work in an ever-changing environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and well-organized
• Must be flexible with work hours
