The Mallard Group is looking for experienced individuals to fill Superintendent roles in Mansfield, TX.
Superintendent responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Interfaces with internal and external Project Managers, Field Managers, General Contractors, Sub Contractors, and Client Representatives (OSR, CPM, PMBP, ETL-R, PML, Etc.)
- Communicates progress updates on a daily and weekly basis, including daily photos and report(s) to designated Project or Field Manager(s) with competency and professionalism
- General computer/tech knowledge – The superintendent must be able to learn and utilize Target's required programs (FUSE, Target Fixture Installation Portal, Smartsheet, Pro Core) and must be able to use Zoom and other video conferencing programs for mandatory weekly meetings.
- Must be able to accommodate daily site walks with GC, store personnel, and other necessary parties into their schedule
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel – Superintendent must be able to create and format simple Word Documents (reports, general communication, notes) and Excel Sheets (inventory management, scheduling, etc.)
- The superintendent must be able to read, understand, and utilize multiple Bills of Material (BOMs), Installation Directives, and Technical Drawings (Fixture Layouts, Signage, Overviews, Floor plans, etc.)
- Must be able to understand and utilize Target IDT report for inventory, material management, and status tracking, including reporting material issues/delays to necessary parties
- Responsible for adhering to all safety guidelines set forth by GC, Target, and PM/FM - typically including maintaining safe & clean workspace(s), familiarizing oneself with and complying with ADA standards, enforcing PPE at all times, and more. Responsible for reporting safety violations to PM/FM
- Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality on the job site, adhering to original architectural and engineering plans and specifications in all areas at all times
- Must be able to identify required work (scheduled or otherwise) and delegate accordingly
- Must be able to administer training as needed (BOMs, installation drawings, hand tools, equipment, installation instructions, SOPs)
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a crew of 5 or more
- Ability to manage timekeeping daily
- Must maintain an accurate log of all daily activities, progress, and crew time sheets
- *Expert knowledge of hand and power tools. Must have own tools (At a minimum - Tool bag/case, hammer drill, cordless impact driver with magnetic screw bits and nut driver bit sets, step bit set, drill bit set, reciprocating saw, circular saw, angle grinder, dead blow hammer, claw hammer, rubber mallet, mini-sled hammer, 3/8” drive, ratchet set up to 3/4”, standard wrench set up to 3/4”, crescent wrench, metal snips, 25’ tape measure, flat and pry bar, utility blade, screwdriver set, pencils, markers, tape)
- Heavy equipment operating a plus (Forklift, Sky Trac, WAV, Box Trucks)
- You must have a vehicle

*Must be able to acquire all tools within 2-3 weeks of employment and project start
