Chief Purpose of the Position:

This position functions as the Student Lab Assistant Receiving, Dispensing & Managing lab cases for Service Lab. Coordinating with Service Lab Tech to keep students updated on their cases. Cover all aspects of cleaning, sterilizing & stocking Student Lab. Responsible for maintaining a clean lab space, making sure students are following lab rules. Ensure the work station is cleaned, stocked and ready to go for the next day. Staying up to date with current required BioRAFT lab Safety Training. Supervision of the lab including general housekeeping, monitoring compliance with personal protective equipment and appropriate usage of lab equipment. Cover all aspects of Implant Dispensing, including ordering, tagging & managing student lab cases. Maintain and update chemical inventory list in BioRAFT on a regular basis. Update and maintain the lab member list and job activities in BioRAFT.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, carry and/or pull/transport 20-50 pounds in a repetitive motion consistently, when necessary
• Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist and reach
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Subject to frequent hot and extreme cold temperatures
• Subject to loud noises on a regular basis
• Ability to grasp items
• Ability to handle repetitive motions throughout shift

Education Level and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Some college or technical training preferred
• Dental or medical office experience preferred
• Instrument recognition preferred
• Experience in an academic setting preferred
• Experience using bar coding, scanning or repairing instrument equipment preferred

Hiring Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
