Description:
  • Responsible for meeting annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals, margins and operating costs.
  • Interviews and hires hourly associates.
  • Working with all members of their team and meeting our scheduling requirements. All SM1’s must work at least:
  • Weekly – one night (until 7pm)
  • Monthly
  • 1 open (530am or 430am)
  • 1 close (10pm or 11pm)
  • 1 Saturday
  • 1 Sunday
  • Develops and implements training programs for new hires and existing employees.
  • Supervises daily store operations.
  • Ensures operational adherence to budget guidelines.
  • Administers employee coaching, counseling sessions, performance reviews and terminations.
  • Ensures adherence to Company and departmental policy & procedure.
  • Effectively resolves customer or employee disputes.
  • Inspects all food areas for adherence to local health department sanitation guidelines.
  • Places vendor orders, such as dairy, within established guidelines.
  • Implements and monitors inventory and labor cost control systems.
  • Constantly monitors quality of products and service offered.
  • Works hands on in the day to day operations of stores, leading by example.
  • Properly receives and accounts for all items shipped to the store, reporting discrepancies to the Support Center.
  • Maintains inventory controls (rotation, shrink, cycle counts) and conducts weekly inventories, reporting all material differences to the Support Center for required recordkeeping adjustments.
  • Inspects and maintains the store’s cleanliness, signage, displays, lighting, etc., to Company standards.
  • Provides accurate and timely administration of the POS system input and reconciliation.
  • Ensures proper cash handling and reconciles/reports cash counts on a daily basis.
  • Accurately records waste, supplier returns, etc., making necessary adjustments with the POS system.
  • Conducts out of store activities such as banking, product transfers and attending meetings.
  • Treats everyone with respect and courtesy.
  • Responsible for ensuring community events are sent to the Marketing Department on a monthly basis
  • Plus perform all duties of a Sales Associate:
  • Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner within 10 seconds of their arrival.
  • Serve customers in a manner that will enhance the image and sales of the store.
  • Follow all approved Sales Procedures and Customer Relation policies including handing out sales flyers to each customer and upselling product.
  • Present a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance at all times and adherence to uniform requirements.
  • Demonstrate a manner, attitude, and personality that will create an atmosphere of friendliness and good will with customers and co-workers.
  • Answer customer’s questions about menu selections and promotions.
  • Receive order from customer and correctly enter it into the POS system.
  • Accurately operate cash register and follow all approved cash handling procedures.
  • Present customer with properly prepared receipt.
  • Thank customer for their visit and extend invitation to return.
  • Maintain cleanliness of store by performing routine cleaning and maintenance.
  • Keep shelves stocked and product rotated.
  • Clean, sanitize, and arrange merchandise in cooler with particular attention to floor, shelves, and cooler doors.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Keeps management informed of items such as out of product situations, customer questions or comments, items that need repaired, etc.
  • Acts as Company representative at designated local community events.
Requirements:
  • Two years’ experience in the retail food management;
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must possess excellent leadership skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in order to motivate a team;
  • Possess a valid, current driver’s license.
  • Ability to efficiently travel to other stores, Support Center, etc. when needed.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Must be front end user computer literate with an emphasis on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), e-mail, point of sale systems, inventory control systems and payroll systems.
  • Knowledgeable in food cost control systems and methods.
  • Has thorough operational food service sanitation regulation knowledge.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Friendly, outgoing and warm personality.
