Manage operations of a single retail grocery store. In addition to offering natural food items, the neighborhood store will also include a focus on organic and local items, as well as a natural living department where teammates can assist customers with choosing options that fit a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Looking for a leader that is knowledgeable in organic, natural, and healthy foods and products .

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead regular store meetings.
  • Perform weekly labor.
  • Schedule reviews for all departments.
  • Provide projections and review miscellaneous financial reports.
  • Spend time on the sales floor and back rooms, including customer interaction, merchandising and teammate consultation/development.
  • Visit competing stores to gather information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Required Education: Associate's Degree/Junior College.
  • Other Requirements: College degree preferred, Food Safety Certification, Leadership Training.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 5 to 8 years. - Required: Kn owledgeable in organic, natural, and healthy foods and products .
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Basic knowledge of all departments.
  • Multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to receive and give constructive criticism and to identify teammates with potential.
  • Ability to take calculated risks and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to adjust and make quick changes.
  • Ability to teach and mentor.
  • Customer oriented.
  • Critical thinker and visionary, business acumen, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read financial statements.
FORMAL POLICY SETTING:
  • Provide input to the next highest level.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Walking: 1/2 Day.
Standing: 1/2 Day.
Lifting: 25 to 50 lbs.
Travel: 0 - 25%.
Work Environment: Flexibility to work outside of and in excess of normal business hours when needed is essential.
