Basic Job Functions:
- Assisting with and/or operating equipment
- Production fabrication & assembly work
- Shipping, receiving and order fulfillment
- Complete assemblies to specifications from metal and other materials
- Maintaining written daily production, fabrication and saw logs
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Steel Worker/Utility will be an integral member of the Nucor Skyline team. A successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a group, and be willing and able to work off shifts (2nd or 3rd), not to exclude weekends and holidays as operating conditions require.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Welding experience
- Overhead crane experience
- Hand torch cutting experience
