SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Utilizes accounting system, billing system, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Assist in preparing the Cash Report, financial statements, and the Orders of Treasurer for the monthly meetings of the OVEC Board of Directors.
- Assist in preparing and submit accurate financial reports to the Kentucky Department of Education, U. S. Department of Education, U. S. Department of Health & Human Services, and other funding agencies as required.
- Assist in supervising the cash management needs of the agency including daily deposits of receipts in the bank of record, requesting reimbursements from governmental agencies and other sources of revenue, and reviewing the monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing various financial documents for compliance with regulations.
- Assist with the month-end closing process, conducting research and making corrective journal entries for account discrepancies, prepares closing journal entries, posts accrual entries, and prepares financial statements.
- Assist in developing and delivering training on Financial Procedures for managers and staff.
- Attend meetings of the Financial Oversight and Internal Controls Work Group and provide feedback and advice when appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION: Annual contract with a maximum contract of 240 days. Salary based on rank and experience in accordance to OVECs Certified Salary Schedule.
