SUMMARY

Manages a team of analysts/developers responsible for the organization's applications development and analysis function. Evaluates existing applications to determine technical changes, schedules projects and resources, and monitors project timelines. Implements change management procedures as it relates to application quality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for functional specifications, system configuration, solution testing, ensuring acceptance testing, end-user training and support.
• Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project
• Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications
• Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests and integrates application components
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented
• Plans, conducts and coordinates the application of state-of-the art information processing techniques to existing and future needs.
• Performs complex systems analysis and programming tasks requiring advanced techniques on the forefront of technology.
• Acts as senior consultant for lower staff, providing technical advice and consultation on complex analysis and programming applications.
• Reviews and evaluates feasibility studies and prepares recommendations based on in-depth knowledge of problem and the capabilities of potential approaches.
• Provides analytical support in the conceptualization, development and implementation of multiple, interlinked systems and programs.
• Prepares complex cost analysis and justification for difficult systems and programming projects. Generally, acts as technical project leader for lower staff.

KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

• Demonstrated skill in developing automated business systems. Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience, and 8 years of increasingly complex business programming experience in a business environment is required. Specific significant experience with configuration and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. Specific knowledge and experience in Manufacturing and Logistics business activities either from Systems or Operations perspective.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
