Dip Into Your Role
- Supports the following key performance indicators (KPIs): Fill Rate, OTS (on-time shipments EX. Warehouse Timeliness), OTD (on-time deliveries), Product Availability Tracker, Short PGI Tracker, and Inventory D.O.H. (days of inventory on hand), Short-coded Product on Hand, Stock Transfer Costs and OS&D.
- Assist with production planning and all functions of the customization center.
- Support with supervision as needed while motivating team members.
- Engage with the Customer Service team to develop daily load planning and prioritization of inbound/outbound shipments that optimizes inventory availability for all product items sourced by location.
- Identify local inventory issues related to warehouse operations (e.g., lost product, damage, disposition issues, billing issues in credits, etc.).
- Work with Inventory Control and Quality Assurance teams on hold verification and hold and release protocols as needed.
- Serve as “back-up” for SR. Team Lead Shipping & Productivity.
- Serve as “back- up” for FG Supervisor, as needed. This includes managing a team of 10-20 team members and being trained in the function.
- Assist with all FG MEI (month end inventory) including Quarterly and YE (year-end).
- Manage and review short lead time orders (or rush orders) for warehouse capability.
- Deliver on service, inventory, waste, and cost targets, while supporting key productivity objectives within the supply chain, including efforts in Manufacturing, Distribution, and Transportation operations.
- Review, monitor and execute new product distribution processes, managed inventory, allocations, substitutions and sample shipments, as required.
- Develop a cooperative team environment with key business stakeholders, both internal and external, on all business issues.
- Communicate any significant issues or risks to management and cross-functional partners on a timely basis.
- Participate in developing and implementing best practices across the assigned function.
- Support warehouse outbound demand.
- Review the SAP Open Order Report for Confirmed Quantities, which details demand against the plant.
- Review availability reports. Identifies potential shortages by material by plant.
- Serve as liaison with the Transportation and Warehouse team to effectively minimize impacts of delayed pick-ups.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations team to minimize the impact of missed production.
- Attend “Daily Huddle” meetings and work as needed to communicate inventory concerns via daily “inventory pass down” communications.
- Develop and provide all required training to other Logistic team members as needed.
- Collaborate with Information Technology for process improvement.
- Comply with safety policies/practices, good manufacturing practices (GMP), standard operating procedures and company policies.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Recipe For Success
- 4-year degree preferred; 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, distribution, production planning and operations or a combination of education and experience
- Experience leading team members preferred.
- Forklift operator certification preferred (if not, we will certify)
- Experience in operations, production planning, warehousing, inventory management, inventory control, inventory processes, continuous quality improvement, expediting, and transportation
- Commitment to excellence and safety
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; ability to write and to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents in English
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication); ability to calculate percentages
- Attention to detail; accuracy in performing tasks
- An aptitude for organization and recordkeeping
- General knowledge of warehouse layouts and procedures, ability to independently load and unload, check and assemble materials, process documents, and route materials and equipment to correct locations or storage areas. Ability to verify or prepare documents either manually or by using automated equipment such as computer terminals and bar code scanners to read, store, track, and prepare materials documentation
- Knowledge of warehousing, distribution and inventory processes

- Medium to strong aptitude in using Microsoft Excel, Word and the Outlook email and calendar applications
- Available to work a variable schedule: 12-hour shifts, weekends and observed holidays
- Ability to work individually or in a team environment

- Ability to work in the warehouse as needed
- Ability to rapidly gain knowledge of products and systems and identify process and system gaps and make recommendations for improvement
